Selamat Milad, Anakku...

5 April 2014. Umar Azka, 2 days old :)

Tapi memang Ummi jadi gampang cheesy kalau berhubungan sama Azka..

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It feels like yesterday...

Long story to be short, setelah hampir 12 jam Azka belum mau keluar sendiri, Mi akhirnya harus diinduksi. Ya Allah..betul-betul Mi nggak tau sebegitu sakitnya diinduksi..rasanya mau mati. Waktu terasa begitu lama.

Akhirnya sayang.. pukul 21.50 kamu lahir. All the pains were paid off.

Umar Azka Al Faruq Wahid.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anakku...
Hari Azka genap berumur setahun.

Selamat berumur setahun, Kesayangan. I love you too much :)

A Humble Hello

Our baby, right after seeing the world for the first time :)

Assalamualaikum dear readers..

Seneng banget akhirnya bisa bener-bener aplot tulisan di blog :) Maafkaeun untuk postingan hamil saya yang mendadak berenti, not to mention penulisnya yang juga tiba-tiba ngilang selama..well, 6 months to be exact? Literally the longest hiatus I have ever made ya..

Well, ga ada excuse lain selain saya bener-bener sibuk di minggu-minggu terakhir menjelang kelahiran si dedek..belum lagi kelahiran si Cibon yang maju 10 hari dari perkiraan, bener-bener bikin kaget dan bikin Plan A langsung loncat ke Plan Z hehehe.. That's why, jangankan buat duduk anteng di depan kompie, bisa tidur nyenyak aja bener-bener jadi sebuah kemewahan buat saya.. (ini si dedek lagi tidur anteng banget jadi saya finally bisa nulis sedikit.. hooray!)

But afterall, sekarang si kecil yang dulu dipanggil Cibon udah genap berumur 6 bulan. Insya Allah kedepan akan lebih banyak waktu luang dan energi untuk nulis, since that restless nights already over (aamiinn!). So, see you very soon, eh? :)

Much love from me and not-longer-called-Cibon

Obgyn Visit 4#: Cibon in 6th & 7th Month Recap

Haloo teman-teman semuaa... :3

Sudah lama banget ya gak cerita-cerita soal perkembangannya Cibon.. Terakhir saya cerita soal Obgyn Visit yang ke3# which was last October..Weww lama banget..sekarang aja udah Februari ya.. Jujur ga inget..time really flies so so fasttt.. Kayaknya baru kemarin ngerasain yang namanya almost-all-day sickness, sekarang kalau makan udah kayak sapi aja..kayaknya baru kemarin bingung tiap liat USG Cibon, sekarang udah bisa ngenalin mana bokong mana kepala..ya ampun..kayaknya bener2 tanda kiamat nih waktu udah makin kerasa cepat.. #sedih

Jadi biar gap ceritanya gak terlalu jauh dan para pemirsa juga masih bisa nyambung, let me sum what you've been missed for the past..emm..3 months?

Tapi saya kok malah jadi inferior..dibilang ini itulah..padahal bukannya sok mau ribet usia lima bulan udah nanya bra menyusui..tp tolong deh ya, kepengen gitu bulan-bulan mendekati kelahiran udah beres semua sampai printilannya. Jangan harap deh udah dua minggu sebelum lahiran gue masih pusing beli apaa gitu yang kurang. Iya kalau suaminya gak kerja 6 to 6. After all, kalaupun saya dianggep terlalu ribet bisa dong ya nasehatinnya enak dikit... Helloo.. ini baby pertama ya..kayaknya normal deh calon ortu baru banyak nanya.. So I suppose it is you, not me, who should put extra effort to understand. Kan tiap hari juga kerjaannya ngadepin ginian.. heran deh.. --"

In that point, saya jadi kangen obgyn saya sebelumnya. Despite antrian gak manusiawinya, as a doctor, she's def good. Walopun udah malam, saya banyak tanya, beliau tetap njawab enak walaupun memang seringkes mungkin.

Waduh kok jadi ngomel... yaudah intinya begitulah. Jadi saya agak-agak sedih waktu pulang. Untungnya habis gitu nemu tempat sarapan baru yang murah dan enak jadi mood membaiklah hehe..

That's waktu Cibon 5 bulan...

Terus kan masih galau tuh ya ntar mo lahiran di mana.. Di Tuban, masih agak enggg sama dokter n RSnya.. klo di Sby takut ntar suami ga nutut nungguin..macem2 dah pertimbangannya.. Tapi akhirnya Sby wins..

Singkat cerita dua minggu sebelumnya udah daftar buat kontrol, dapet giliran nomer 1.Katanya dokternya praktek jam 10, tp hampir jam 11 baru dateng...

First impression..dokternya ga seperti yang saya bayangin haha.. Dokternya cantiik sekali, jilbabnya panjang, pake make up tapi gak menor..yah pokoknya cantik deh. Ruang prakteknya enak, apalagi lantainya parket jadi kesan warm-nya dapet haha..

Walaupun cewek sama cowok sama aja, apalagi buat anak pertama, ga tau kenapa papi Cibon pengennya anak pertamanya cowok.

*note buat kunjungan selanjutnya*

Waktu kontrol bulan keenam ini highlight-nya kan tau jenis kelamin Cibon (jadi kamu tetep dipanggil Cibon ya nak, bukan Cibonita..).. Nah lain lagi pas kontrol bulan kemarin alias pas tujuh bulan.

Haha ga mungkinlah dok, naikin BB aja setengah mati hehe...

Haha..ampunn..nguap lebaaarrr banget. Action dia kata dokter M sambil ketawa-ketawa. Jadi ga sabar pengen cepet-cepet lahiran :))

habis ngecap-ngecap trus angop... haha ibu bapaknya banget nih. habis makan trus ngantuk :D
Oya saya sempet tanya lagi jenis kelaminnya... dan tetap cowok alhamdulillah.. Bukan apa-apa..walaupun memang belum ada yang pasti tapi jujur sampai sekarang belum nyiapin nama buat anak cewek blas...jadi mudah-mudahan beneran cowok ya kamu nak, biar mi sama abi ga pusing-pusing lagi hihi...Mudah-mudahan kesenengannya mi baca surat Yusuf instead of surat Maryam jadi pertanda kalau kamu memang laki-laki ya nak :)

Btw kalau dilihat dari USG, dagunya Cibon bagus ya? #OOT

Yah sekian dulu cerita tentang Cibon sampai kontrol ke-7 bulan kemarin. Sebenarnya banyak yang pengen diceritain, tapi ntar deh di postingan lain biar gak terlalu panjang hihi... Ohy a trims lho buat yang suka mampir ngintip-ngintip postingan curcol saya terutama tentang expecting a baby ini! :D)

I'll be around very soon fellas! Much love from Umminya Cibon and Cibon ♥♥

Nesting

Finally we go into tropical house. Not that tropical since the real one will use tons of woods and it is too costly for us. So we made a few adjustment instead.

And it may also doesn't look that alike the 3D model above..well, to be honest we changed our mind (sometimes) during the building process..so yes, there were few adjustment again.

It may not having the spacious kitchen or backyard that I've been hoping for, and some part didn't turn out like we were hoping for, but still, it is our first nest so we feel a bit sentimental about this house.

I'll share the pic later when our nest is finished. Hope everything will be settle before I give a birth!

PS: I guess we will have so much fun decorating the house. Finally, our own house! Alhamdulillah Ya Allah.. :)

The Early-Year List

Here we go..the ritual of the new year heheh.. making resolution! Before we off to that, let's evaluate 2013's resolution!

1. Pregnant
Alhamdulillah...Allah give us one of the best gift for our marriage so far :) maybe it's a bit late than the time we have anticipated before, but we know it is the best decision coming from Allah :) Insha Allah if everything run smoothly, I will giving birth in the almost midst of April :)

Read my pregnancy journey here!

      2. Writing at least one book
Failed :( I guess all the blast of newlywed life made me forget of this one..

      3. Giving rebirth to Dear Darla
Another alhamdulillah.. Started around March/ April 2013 I finally make up my mind and heart (and money of course) to broaden my line into woman outfit called The Darling. For now we are selling scarves and woman outfit which is hijab friendly. We started with blouse, blazers, pants..simply the basic items. But who know where the wind will blows?  Beside that, I still keep my half-idealistic brand that now become a supporting brand, Dear Darla Cafthings. If you have something to do with accessories/ scrapbook/ personal gift/ etc, don't hesitate to tell us!

Check our instagram account here!

       4. Doing more artsy thingy
One artwork a week..that's what I said last year. I guess that's a wide definition of artwork. I did a lot of photowork/editing/designing last year! But I am looking forward to do more sketches this year for sure!
I love making quote cards! Here are a few of my design that I use as gimmick for every The Darling's product purchasing :)

      5. Moving to a new house and decorate it to keep my artsy spirit alive
I didn't do too much decorating work in our rented house. It's because it turned out that the renovation didn't really suit my taste so just called me lost my mood. But alhamdulillah again.. it's beyond our expectation, we got a precious opportunity to have our very own house! The house building is under process but I'll share some of the sneak peek soon :) You also can read my old post about finding that dream house here

      6. Make a finance plan and take care our lil family finance
I have made a separate bank account for family money, savings, and business of course. We did a regular evaluation about what we need/ will buy/ sort of things. There were still minus in here and there so we keep on learning! :)

      7. Submit hajj application
Alhamdulillah... done. It is every moslem dream to see Baitullah. Labbaik allahuma labbaik :)

     8. Learning more about business and invest
We did a bit of investment and plan to gain more knowledge about that this year :)

And now..it's time for

I can't wait to launch Dear Darla x The Darling new website..
Can't wait to take this brand into the next level..
Also can't wait to launch my new personal project!

Can'wait to start the new chapter of my life, parenthood!
Can't wait to live in our new house..and decorate it heheh..

I will learn about reksadana syariah..
Learn about other form of investment beside gold..
Learn to save more!

I vow to keep persistent with my one day one juz program.. and my other spiritual program..
Dress more modest and syar'i. Hijab must cover over the chest and use socks everytime I leave the house!

Bismillah, I can do it!

Hey, have you share your resolution yet? It's good to write it down to remind yourself, you know, whether you lost your direction or whatsoever... Share you're dream! Who knows anyone out there will help you reach them faster than you think? :)

I'll keep updating soon! Much love from me and my little peanut, Cibon!

The First From Forever

Can't believe that our marriage turns out one year old today.. Can't believe that I have been married this amazing guy for a year.. It still feels like yesterday we stare, held each other hand, feeling grateful for being officially halal and now we both mesmerized for the fact that we have been sharing the bitter sweet of life for 365 days together . I hope (and I guess we will do it well!), that it is really the first anniversary which lead to forever. Aamiin :)

#throwback 22.12.2012. Beautiful party in a more beautiful day with the most beautiful feeling

We didn't make any particular party to celebrate our first anniversary. Actually I have work in that day (selling clothes in bazaar) but we plan to have lunch/dinner in our nostalgic restaurant that have just got the halal certificate from MUI.  I couldn't wait to taste their Chicken Cordon Bleu again haha!

Smiling all day long..despite my can't-be-hidden-anymore-pregnancy, we still look like a young lovebirds, eh? :p

Finally, HALAL! :D

It was a humble celebration but I was very happy that day :) I never ask too much for this kind of thing; the only-us time was more than enough

Thank you Allah for Your grace over our life... Thank you honey for the amazing year, looking forward to spent the rest of my life with you  I love you and happy anniversary!

Delight

I always enjoy capturing my food before sweep it off. But I rarely take a photo of my daily cooking since I almost can't get natural lighting for creating lovely photograph in my current home. Or, I only cook proper meal for dinner. So in a rare occasion like having breakfast out, I try as much as possible to picture my food with the morning sunshine that I love the most. Mmmm..yummy.

Dream versus Reality

Few months before I get married, I dreamed a lot about my life after I get married. In that time I and my hubby-to-be made some agreement about which and what in our future living. One of what consist there was I will become a housewife, a full housewife, at least for few months in the early months after we move out.
Raised by a working mom and had spent doing part-time work during my school year, become a full-time housewife never really freaked me out. Frankly, I was beyond excited. Maybe I am a bit tired and bored with my busy life, and become a housewife, a full one, was, I think, such a retreat. I imagined we live in a small house; I will wear that flowy dress, humming a love song while cooking or baking... I made an afternoon snacks compliment by warm tea every day... I, in our little garden, watering flowers while waiting for the soon-back-home hubby. That almost like fairytale dreams stick in my head and made me literally can’t wait to live just the two of us.

But, gosh, sometimes reality wasn't be as sweet as candy.

Yes, we got that small house but after weeks living in it, I miss the spacious one which I can place my abundant petty little things wherever I want. Forget that flowy dress, it give me a hard time while doing the laundry. Afternoon snacks? Who will eat it since hubby have just arrived at home above 6 PM? And that picture of me watering flowers...c’mon, we had no garden. Talk about the risk of living in a packed housing in the city.

I once read a relationship article that you should always look dress up, clean and fragrant everytime your spouse back home. I can’t be more agree than that. But what happened here was I couldn’t avoid times when hubby back home and I haven’t take a bath yet, my hair was such a mess and I wear yesterday cloth. The reality sometimes won’t be as sweet as in our dreams, and the theory is not as easy to be implemented. And become a full time housewife was not a joke, moreover if you managed to keep working from home. Okay, so just said I am working from home mom instead a full housewife.

You know when we get married, my hubby gave me a sewing machine as one of our mahar*. I love crafting and I was looking forward to have plenty of time to sew in my studio, with my brand new machine. We have been married for almost six months, but that sewing machine still packed in its box, never been used even took out from its box. Now it is a real joke, eh?

Well, I am nowhere near complaining since the one that have to be complained is my self haha... I tend to make this post as a ironic joke. Bitter comedy? Well, not that bitter I guess.

Banana pancake with caramel sauce. The only afternoon snack I have been made so far. Hope it won't be the last (duh!)

Cheese omelet with tomato and spinach plus guava juice for busy morning. Sorry for under quality pic! I took it with my cellphone camera
In the other hand, I was hoping that I can post more of my cooking projects here. I have been cooking a lot (everyday, literally) and I practice a lot of new menus as well! I will try to manage my time better and right after my camera and computer fixed, I am sure will bring lots of delish pics around :)

I'll see you very soon! Speed up people!

*mahar (Indonesian language) is sort of gift that groom give to the bride in akad nikah (an Islamic wedding process which the groom made an agreement to take over the responsibility of the bride from her father). This mahar will be the bride's forever property unless she decide to give it to the other hand. Mahar mostly are valuable things such as gold, jewelry, et cetera.

♥ Once in a Lifetime: My Royal Gold Moment ♥

In my previous post I already told you about the akad ceremony. While akad was held in the morning, the reception was held in the afternoon. I was waaay more relax since, like my mom said, "the principal part of the wedding is the akad. Reception is just party after all". I am a bit tired since I didn't get enough sleep the night before (I'll told about it in next post) and still worried about petty little things ( I know I shouldn't actually), but most of all, I was happy! I held my brand new hubby's hand  as often as possible and we stared each other like we didn't believe we are finally a husband and wife :') ( I knooowww.... it's silly :p)

My wedding itself using three big color theme which were gold, ivory and deep brown. When akad mostly used the ivory, the party was more to gold. My friend Dila said it was eclectic since I also mixed three big theme here; Javanese, Arabic and Modern-Islamic. I don't know, I just love mixing things :D

I luuurve the decor! Maroccan style. Beyond expectation :)
I was worried that I would falling so I rarely smile during the kirab (blame the 9 cm heels!)
I asked mas Hendy (the main photographer) to take many detail pics :) *inspired by lovely Alodita*
very happy seeing the guests :)
Dad and mom
Ultimate beauty, my girls!!! PS: Icha is still single by the way...(on the left, wearing black clutch)
My hubby's mate... So crazy they bring banner to the wedding venue :)) And..hey! The bride and groom were hidden cause of them!
My design mate :D
High school fellas was saying wedding congratulation :) I was friend with some of them since elementary school :')
So lucky to find Islamic music entertainment like this :)
...and finally, the bride and groom. The party was over yet the 'real' party has been starting since then :)

Wedding Reception Vendor:

Venue: Grha Sepuluh Nopember, ITS Surabaya
Bride, groom and parents outfit: Puri Kencana Ayu
MUA and hijab styling: Puri Kencana Ayu
Decor and hand bouquet: Mitra Decoration (Pak Mitro)
Catering: Hidayah
Photo: Hendy Wicaksono Photography
Video: Galahumanoid
Music Entertainment: Alkahfinita

Alhamdulillah everything about wedding ceremony was OVER! Haha... I am totally relieved! Not that I was not enjoying the process nor the preparation...but thinking about all the sweat and blood... it was too small if I say I am happy I just have one reception... Maybe things would be different if I was using wedding organizer then...(note to self: if anyone asked about it, tell them use WO for D-day! Especially if they are super-drama-paying-to-details-perfectionist like me. Or they will just died. Like me. Okay, skip that)

So, like I have said before...the real party is on the way! Maybe you'll see a lot of newlywed thingy in the future hahah... Please don't get bored with it since I am not! *what a egoistic author :p* So I guess, I'll see you later? Live your life people, and have a blast! :D

♥ My Humble Akad Nikah Ceremony ♥

Assalamualaikum Wr Wb...

After spending HOURS picking (and a bit of editing), finally I am proudly say that I will post my wedding photos here!! *enthusiast clap*

My wedding, maybe wasn't my dream wedding at first. But as time went by, I started grew a strong feeling for it; its like my baby that I was taking care of until giving birth. And alhamdulillah the process of giving birth was running smoothly :)

I got married on Mother's Day, December 22th 2012. Me and my family was worried about the weather, since December is one of the biggest rain month. I was thinking will I get a sunny day like in June but I know that I shouldn't hoping too much. So we only pray, pray, and pray to God, to give us the best. The whole family, especially the grandmas, hummed Al Kautsar tons a day until the wedding day.

And you know? It was really a sunny day.

A big one :)))

After akad, the photographers team manage us to have photoshoot in mosque's park(ing area). I was so nerveous since it was the first time for me and hubby taking pictures like that (we didn't do any prewedding photoshoot before). We're a bit clumsy but we smiled a lot. So happy finally we're a legal spouse! :D

Alhamdulillah :)

There aren't perfection in this world, and so was my wedding. But despite everything it would be overrated if I forced my ego and complained; I got too much blessings that day. The biggest one was the weather of course, which really helps our guests came to the venue. The second was my friends and other guests, even who lived far away, but still managed to come. And another million blessings to prove that I had no reason to regret anything. Thanks God, thank you for the blessing. Thank you to make my dream become real.

So, are you satisfied now? What? Photos from reception? Ah, I am worry that you should wait, at least until tomorrow :p

I'll see you soon! x
