Thank you Allah... for giving me a happy, complete family... for giving me such a beautiful marriage... for sending me a partner that I have never could imagine... I was so ashamed of myself that I was ever angry to You, when some people told me crap and made me felt down for being 'single' even it was just for a minute... If I just could turn back the time, I would be wiser to know that everything was just good in time... That being 'single', that have no experience in dating thingy was such a gift you give to not everyone... I know I could not turn back the time but I will teach my kids later, what I had learnt, that nothing, nothing beat the happiness of waiting...
Thank you Allah... for being so kind to me, and my family :")

Diary of a Mad Bride
Three months to go to the wedding... I am torn between panic-stress out and excited-full of happiness... (Yay, I'm gonna be a wife so soon! Oh, wait, I hope the invitations turn out good... oh my, oh my...*headache*)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You know, back then when I was in a junior high school, I started reading chic literature. Well, yes, a bit mature for my age... but we're not talking about that now...
Among all those novels I had read, there was one that pretty special, that special so I got inspired by the tittle to use it as my blog's name. The novel was Diary of a Mad Bride by Laura Wolf.

Amy always wonders why marriages make her girlfriends degenerate into crazy, self-absorbed psychos. Well, when her boyfriend Stephen proposes, she tells herself that she is above the hysteria. She will do this planning rationally.
Oh yes, ma'am, R-A-T-I-O-N-A-L-L-Y.
Of course, the plans will soon spiral out of control. Amy's 20-itemed to-do-list soon ballooned to a 39-itemed list and later, mercy, 70 items. She can't find a location. Her Granny may be sabotaging her coming wedding. And what a time to discover that your parents favor your sister over you. Catering! Why is everything so darned expensive and why wouldn't the parents dole out more cash? Do they think that Amy and Stephen produce money from their toilet bowl sessions? AND WHERE ARE THE DAMNED *&^%ING SHOES?
copied from here
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hadn't been proposed nor met my soulmate, I was just a teenage that still wearing braces that time. But I remember giggling all the time I read Amy's story. Her way of thinking, the ups and down in preparing the wedding; how she deals with vendors, her family and friends, and Stephen; the demand to be the the perfect bride... even her crazy times to find the perfect wedding shoes. I agree with Goodreads, it was a riotously funny novel, but more than that, it was a sweet, tender love story. And the best? We saw it in our lives.

I am thinking about the novel more these times among my wedding preparation. When I found myself fussy about the invitation design so long, I remember Amy's wedding shoes finding. Actually it can be done in very simple way; we just need to choose it and accept it. Don't worry too much. But that's the distraction, and every bride has their own.
As a Javanese (or I may said Indonesians), we live with a high demand from the society. We are care, or too care with people may think about us. My mom and I was stressed out enough thinking what will be this wedding turns out; will it be okay? Will the guests are satisfied? Will the guests are all happy? And so on. Later she can take it very well and just focusing to what to do and let God do the rest- that's what she said. But me? Sometimes I am still worrying about the day. But then I remembered Amy's feeling when she walk into the aisle; it's just a grand event but the life after marriage that's important.
There's no bride (and wedding) without all the hysteria, even it was a little. But I try my best to enjoy the process and keep in mind that later, after the wedding, I will make a fun about these days. Weeks ago I had 80:20 of stress and excitement. Few days ago I had 50:50. Today, after the invitation design had been sent to the printing house, I found almost none of the stress left :) So I guess, I am already going through the worst. Three months left, finally I can think about the honeymoon (whaat? haha...).
Then see you!
xoxo
P.S. : The Diary of a Mad Bride has its sequel! The Diary of a Mad Mom-to-be. It has been quite time since it was published... I guess I'll have a copy in near time :)
P.S.S: My man once asked me whether I'll change my blog's name into Diary of a Mad Mom after I get married. My response is 'Euh!' Is it mean that I should change into Diary of a Mad Grandmother soon I have a grandchild??

Love for Books
Hello people, what's up? I've been very busy nowadays preparing this and that for my upcoming wedding. I am really hoping that everything will be set up before July ends because I have plan to back to my home town for a while. Well, actually it's my mom's idea; she thinks home is the best place to gain my weight... which I should agree after all (she's have been crazy about me gaining my weight so I will look good in my wedding gown. Err...).
You know I haven't post regularly here on Monday, the day which I have declared as 'the day to post about my dream'. But today is Monday so I'll share another dreams that I will reach, sooner or later!
I've been known as a bookworm since I was a kid. My mom is working in a school library and she used to bring back some books for me. One of my favourite memories in my childhood was when it came to school holiday. My mom will take me and my brother to her work, where I and my brother spent time reading various books and comics from 7 AM to 12 PM. Sometimes I begged her to take me again after lunch.
The newspaper also delivered to our house. Because we were living outside Java, the Kompas and Jawa Pos arrived in the afternoon. We used to kill the time while waiting Maghrib by reading newspaper. Oh it was a common things to see me or my brother fight over to my dad about I-pick-this-newpaper-first-so-I-get-the-first-turn-to-read-it :)
This bookworm genes was come from my parents. My dad hadn't so much money when he was young so he didn't have much books collection. But nobody will argue about his love for books now! And my mom, her father-my grandpa, have a huge collection of books since he was young, that will make you drooling over. Everything still neatly arranged and in a good condition until now. In his old, he still spend time by reading and regularly buying books, that's my grandpa :)
So you see... reading a lot of books will make you think about you write any of them someday. I think become an author is the coolest profession human can ask. You may can't be both a pilot and doctor, but you can be a pilot who write and doctor who also an author :) And since my bachelor degree is from Visual Communication Design, what will be more coolest thing than write, illustrate, and making your own cover of book? Nothing, my mate, nothing!
So, I guess after designing some book cover, it's time to take further step in doing what is inside not just outside :)
You have to promise that you'll get my copy of book soon it was published, yes, fellas ? :D
See you very soon! xoxoxo

Which Color?
The best color in the whole world, is the one that looks good, on you!
-Coco Chanel-
Another 'wow' quote that I found during my random browsing. Well, it may be difficult since I love almost all colors! From creme to black, from dusty pink to turquoise... Gold, yellow... ah so many! And I am almost sure all those colors were look good on me! ;p
Anyway talk about experience, couple weeks ago I dared myself using inner hijab that my mom gave to me. It was lavender. And I was not into the color since it was too girly for me... But finally I started using it, paired with my white paris hijab. And you know? Surprisingly I looked fresh! I suppose I should started using shabby colors by now hehe...What? No, I didn't take my pictures that time... too bad :p
Well another truth is I did some dress up lately. It was because my man was hanging around here for couple days and I was trying my best too look good in him and
I'll see you soon, people! Much kisses!!

Daily Insight
Sure it's a really rare chance seeing me blogging in Bahasa. Not because I'm trying to brag or what but the truth is try to improve my English skill by pushing myself blogging in this language. At times I must admit blogging with my mother language will be so much easier. There are still a lot of language problem, lack of vocabulary, wrong grammar, which made my English writing is felt plain. However, that's the risk that I must be faced... I really hope that someday, as days go by, I can both write and speaking English as fluent as I am yelling in Bahasa hehehe...
Few weeks ago I read an article in The Jakarta Post. Sorry for not remembering the details, but it was an interview with the founder of Gogirl! teens magazine (if I'm not mistaken remembering the name). It was explained how this magazine, in its first publishing years ago, can stole teen's heart, beating other older experienced competitors. In a very competitive market of teens magazine sure it was a real achievement!
It was pointed out that Gogirl! was placed itself as a friend to teenagers. As an example, when we talked about sex before marriage, the it-issue in teens life. Other magazines that times said it was prohibited, not good and so on. That were common song that we heard everyday if if I might said. I am sure everybody already know about it. But we sometimes we just didn't get the essence, no?
In the other hand, instead of acting like a preach, Gogirl! chose to said about honor our body right. Sex is about honor our body right, that's why we must really sure that we do it in a right time, with a right person. Wow.
Of course I wasn't paid by them by saying such a things, it just simple reading that broaden my mind, even I already left my teens life couple years ago haha... But sure, if I relate it with my major, a precise communication to the market really make a change!
So well, that's another random things popped from my mind. Anyway, please guyss.. give me your pray for my Final Project! I know my parent will kill me if I miss the next graduation... naudzubillahi min dzalik!
Oh and please also pray for my boyfriend. He has been sick for several days and I am tired spend days worrying about him!
I'll see you soon! Ciao, fellas!

Which Apples?
Look what I've found during my blogwalking to Tara Amelz's blog... You guys should read this!
Cool... cool... cool...
"Girls are like apples; the best ones are at the top of the trees. The boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they're afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples that are on the ground that aren't as good, but easy. So, the apples at the top think there's something wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top.”

Cool... cool... cool...

Act Ladylike
![]() |
Ladylike markers on paper retouched in Adobe Photoshop CS3 |
"Tell everyone you know: "My happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook." And then demonstrate it. BE HAPPY, no matter what they're doing. Practice feeling good, no matter what. And before you know it, you will not give anyone else responsibility for the way you feel-and then, you'll love them all. Because the only reason you don't love them, is because you're using them as your excuse to not feel good."
- Esther Hicks
A wise word that I got from Alodita's blog. A beautiful one isn't it? Make me remember one of Frances Hodgson Burnett famous book: A Little Princess. In that book, the main character, Sara, try to act like she is a princess. In her mind, princess never complaining nor make life as an excuse to not feeling happy... So it's concluded that act ladylike help us happier. Cause we are the ladies, we are the one who control ourselves.

Cermin
Semester awal dulu? Malangnya saya belum tergerak.
Gampangnya saja, dalam usia kurang dari dua lima, money already works for him. Salut? Pasti. Iri?
Jadi apa sih intinya?

Allo 2011!*
Assalamualaikum Wr Wb
Whoa, I found I rarely using salam when I start my post, eh? Well, I do better for next time…
Anywaayy morning lads! Such a good day to write any post. I know it’s already 10th January but I hope it is not too late to post something about reflection of 2010, resolution for 2011, such a thing :)
My bf once told me about the book Tuhan, Inilah Proposal Hidupku** (which written by Jamil Azzaini, the husband of Sofie beatrix, the owner of Asamedia. What is Asamedia, just continue reading :D ). Alhamdulillah it made me realized that I should make a real, detailed plan for my future. In order to make it happen, I started it by make a list about what I have achieved, experienced, learned, in last year then evaluate it so I can make a more detailed and progressed plan for the next. Why would I write about those things here? Doesn’t it too private? Achmad Ferdiansyah, one of the 25 Inspiring Students of ITS said that spread your dreams so everybody knows and help you to achieve those dream. Good point, bro! So here it goes… things made 2010 become so special for me. Bismillah…
1. Learned a lot about what called endurance
2. Understanding people better. Don’t judge a book by its cover.
3. Get my first book illustration published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama. Alhamdulillah.. you can check how it looks here
4. Started working as freelance designer in Asamedia. Alhamdulillah again…
5. Improving writing ability. I feel my writings become lighter and well-read. But still… nothing can be said about the grammar haha..
6. Inspiring someone by blog. Whoa, it feels great when someone tweet about my post and said that was a good one. Really makes my day! :) *this post actually who gain me many feedback
7. Become the Coverage Coordinator of ITS Online since March 2010. I still fight for the best, of course!!
8. Feel happy almost all year. Yes, beg less accept more.
9. Launched 25 Buku Mahasiswa Inspiratif with my colleagues which I become layouter and editor :)
see more about it here :)
10. Our City Branding task for DKV 4 subjects appreciated by Bangkalan Residence!! They soon will use our concept to be implemented there! What an honor!! Our works include the logo design, supergraphic, event and media support.. Please wait for the update news :)
11. I’m still with Aulia… a social community which I’ve become part of it since my first year as uni student as a lecturer. Even I’ve get the up and down, I feel blessed that I’m still with it. Hope someday I can do more than just give my time and energy. Amin.. *excited to know more? Don't hesitate to ask me :)
12. I found someone… No more talk about it, you can read here :p
13. Have a blissful birthday. More about it here
14. Feel be loved by people around me; family, friends, colleagues, teacher... all! I’m sorry if I can return all you kindness to me… I’m trying my best for the next :)
15. Learned a lot too about distressed and something else that really matter in life. Simply I learned a lot of things in 2010. Alhamdulillah… Not all was a happy one, but I feel blessed given any chance faced bad things which made me tougher than before. Thank you Allah :)
That’s the big things. Maybe I left some, but that was the big picture of my 2010. Then how about my plan for 2011?
1. I plan to take English course again. The last one I had was in junior high school and I felt lack of it. Don’t talk about the TOEFL score, my grammar and listening really need to be fixed ASAP *I’ve take it. Start from February 7th I’ll become the high intermediate level student of English First. Wish me luck guys! \^0^/
2. Take French course. Oh, I have been in love with all about France since I don’t know. I used to learned this language by myself in a high school but so far all I can say is je ne parlez francais pas tres bien.. (Translated: My French is awful! Haha..) *I’ve did it too. Next Saturday will be my first day become a DELF A1 student in CCCL Surabaya. Super excited!!
3. Finished my Bandung serial post.. bring it onnnn!!
4. Finished my first book. Amin…
5. Win any competition in writing/ design area. I hardly submitted any work in such competition since become uni student... What a lazy lady… I should manage time better this year so I can spare time for my self esteem. Bismillah..
6. Writing serious literature. I mean poems, things like that. Actually I’ve been a lil bit wee known in my hometown as one of the ‘it girl ‘in literature haha... so you see how Amien Wangsitalaja feel so sorry that I haven’t made any writings since i left high school...till now I almost finish my study in uni. Uh oh.
7. Build Dear Darla.. An accessories line I've do with my mates. Wait for the spoiler very soon! :)
8. Arrange my life goals.. I should take it seriously. Bismillah..
That’s it. The big picture of my 2011 resolution. I’ll post later the more detailed plan if I already make any :)
Btw, talk about fun fact, I’ve ever made a post about my 21st birthday in January 2010. You can see about it here. In that post I made a silly statement below my photo (the one which captured me blowing the candles). I said ‘God please gimme cute boyfie after it hahaha…’ I swear I don’t take it seriously! I was joking anyway. See, I used ‘cute’ instead of 'nice' hihi… But it’s really happen then! I mean the point of having boyfie, not the cute part... #peektomybf :p :p.. Kidding, my man! You’re more than cute ofkorz :p
Another funny thing is the fact that my current bf is the one who told me about it hehe.. Ha! I was impressed he remembered that super old post :p. Lesson: we should really take care about what we write/ talk. Even it sounded like jokes, God hear, young lads. Whoa.
That’s all from meee... Hey, how about you? Do you make any resolution too for this year? I’ll be excited if you share yours! Come on! :)
*french, in English means Hello 2011!
**God, This is My Life Plans

Achmad Ferdiansyah, one of the 25 Inspiring Students of ITS said that spread your dreams so everybody knows and help you to achieve those dream. Good point, bro! So here it goes… things made 2010 become so special for me. Bismillah…

Come on! :)

Ouch
"Cinta itu cuma ilusi belaka.
Kita selalu mencari suatu tempat untuk jatuh dan selalu mencari orang yang menarik*"
*Translated: "Love is just an illusion. We're always looking for a place to fall in and always find the attractive one"
That is my favourites quote from BiBi, a Korean comic serial wrote by Choi Kyung-ah, volume 2. The male main character Han Je Hoo said a thing when the main female character Lee Na Bie reveal her disbelief about love at the first sight.
The first time I read it, it’s like a slap in the face. Yes, people do believe about love at the first sight. But I agree with Je Hoo, there’s no such a thing in love. Things we called love at the first sight is just a kinda attracted feeling. You see a charming man, beautiful ladies, who won’t feel attracted? If you let it go, it will go. But if you keep it, it should be a true love someday.
I don’t know what makes me write about it. It might because i’m currently umm..dating? Well not that far, just said I have someone who texting me everyday, remembering about lunch, say sweet things about me, out together in a special occasion, yeah you get it all. I was wondering if he in love with me and plan to reveal it soon haha..
Anyway the point is, I’m scared. I am scared that he just see the illusion of me, the attractive side of me, and of course I don’t want that happen.. I’m trying to make him see the whole side of me. I have no idea if he already saw it or not.. But sometimes I feel like he appreciate me too much..Like I’m all okay, get it? Is it because he hasn’t see the not-very-good side of me? Or he already see it but he found that it works for him? I hope for the second option.. Despite of it, it is true that at least we should have something we hate in someone even we’re in love with him/her, isn’t? So why till now I feel that everything I do, even the yucky one, is so acceptable on him? :(
But anywaaaayyy, it could be only a mind trick. Say it, I could be just misunderstood about his feeling to me hihi.. Is that so, I wouldn’t bother about these things hahaha..
Have a very cool Thursday people! :) I'll write soon!
